ABOUT THE HOUSE The “Residence,” as we like to call the house, was built in the early 20’s and is one of the few remaining mansions left in the Makiki area. It is a lovely two story wooden structure with high ceilings and beautiful crown moldings. We have hired Mason Architects, experts in restoring historical homes. to aid us in applying for the State and National Historic Registry, and to develop plans that will enlarge the house and increase the functionality of the space. These changes will include increased storage, adding an enclosed mauka staircase to the second floor, and the addition of an accessible bathroom. RENTAL ![]() |

An open lanai on the front of the structure, later enclosed by sliding glass doors across arched openings, enlarge the living and dining room meeting area. The kitchen, with its adjacent butler’s pantry and mud room harkens back to that turn of the century era. An enclosed lanai room on the back of the home opens up to the back patio, with one additional, multipurpose or conference room rounding out the usable areas available for member or rental use.
